such a system could help people get the support they need to feel capable and comfortable in how they establish and maintain their ldr through advice and mentorship, both online and off.

it could be there for people when they feel like they need “backup,” allowing for people to reach out and soothe over situations, fears, and insecurities by providing a safe space to ask questions and sift through others’  experiences.

it could collect data and stories from its users to add real voices and numbers to the blurry ideas and old statistics we have about distanced relationships.

and just as importantly, it could let long distancers celebrate excitements and successes with a group who understands exactly what it takes and how much it means, allowing people to connect with one another’s feelings, sharing in the joy of the little things that others might take for granted.
